The All-New Truecaller: Bringing Communication Home

Truecaller’s mission is to make communication safer and more efficient. These days, that means more than just identifying callers from unknown numbers, which is the service Truecaller has been providing since it launched over a decade ago.
Communication in 2020 is easier in many ways, but also complicated by the vast amount of ways to connect with people and information. We feel that there’s a need to streamline this experience. We believe if we can build a communication hub where all spam is identified and there is no need to switch betweens apps for calls and messages, that will significantly improve the communication experience for our users.
In the latest version of Truecaller on Android, we have also added the following features:
The Home Tab
With the latest step in the evolution of Truecaller, we have redesigned the app for a cleaner, smarter and easier look & feel. We’ve merged your call history, SMS and Instant Messages in the app to now exist in the Home tab – it is still the World’s best Caller ID, but everything is easier and simpler to use in one place.
Smart SMS and the Important tab (India feature only)
Truecaller has been blocking spam messages for years, but now your Smart SMS inbox offers more. With the latest update you are able to receive important notifications that are categorised for you in the Important tab. Financial/payment notifications are sent to you, helping you keep track of bills, payments and budgets. For the future of the Important tab, we will also be adding in the coming months travel reminders like flight delays, bus seat allocation and live tracking, and updates on postal deliveries, tax updates and hospital appointments.
All processing happens offline and no message leaves the mobile device. All transactional information is securely stored on the mobile. This feature will be rolled out in India first for Android users.
Full Screen Caller ID
We have improved the calling experience in Truecaller. Full Screen Caller ID is the new way in which you will receive your calls. It still identifies callers and spammers, but is now full screen. It no longer blocks other things on your screen, making your call experience seamless.
The latest update of Truecaller will gradually roll out in the coming few weeks. Update Now!
