illiterate people thinks this person is trying to hack their account if you have registered for any new upi apps then automaticall­y an sms will be sent to a number which the upi apps has set to validate the number.

this is a scam number....sent msges from my inbox both for hdfc and sbi.... trying to do financial fraud... Kolkata police cyber crime should do something regarding this number. ..#KOLKATAPOLIC­E

This number is legit Google Pay UPI Verification number.

I didn't even send a single message to this number but when I checked my message without my consent my bank details have been sent pkz retort this number

It is not a scam number. When you setup for Google Pay UPI (HDFC BANK) It will send a code to this number to verify if you have an account linked to your number. It will also not deduct any money from your bank account so dont worry this is a safe number.
