This is the legitimate phone number for Capital One. I think scam calls were simply using a fake caller ID to seem like they were from Capital One for fooling people. Try the bank help online to verify this is legit.

This is indeed Capital One, however they need to get rid of the dumb bots. I have no interest in conversing with something that cant make conscious decisions...

This lady took all my personal information and when she asked for my DOB, then I realized she's not here to help me but to scam me. Be careful guys. She speak clearly English but her accent was still clear.
